Featured With Pinks- Kera Barenaba Photography

First, I am excited to be here! Yeah for hard work and dedication! I started taking photography and photos back in high school, when I had a teacher who saw something in me. I wanted to be able to express myself and share with others my love for photography. The idea of being in a moment, and being able to capture and keep that, is a beautiful and magical thing, as funny as that sounds.

I'm a natural light photographer, which means I prefer to shoot in natural daylight, and rarely use artificial light or much touching up (ok I do remove red eyes and the occasional zit) but over-all, each photo has a pure, clean quality.
My website shows that love of life and light and laughter that make up those great moments. My oldest daughter told me that my camera is magical because it can take a picture and make it beautiful and I agree with her! I'm excited to be on this adventure and hope to share that with others as I go. I'm at the place in life that I have a good perspective (finally!) on the little things. I'm a mom to three kids and wife to my wonderful husband. And there are the two dogs, who are my other kids. I also enjoy gardening, dancing, reading, triathlons, and sewing.

Giveaway & Featured with Pink.

Hello Everyone!
I’m Lindsey, you’re average stay-at-home Mom with 2 kids. My son is super fun, play outside in the dirt, kind of boy and my daughter is pretty princess!
When I was pregnant with her, I went all out looking for all things girly. I soon found that boutiques, while they have adorable accessories, are wickedly overpriced. I went on a search for wholesale materials and found it! I learned how to make bows and jewelry so that I could dress up my baby girl. I started my accessories blog just after she was born because I wanted to pass on the savings to others. Recently, my baby girl was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She has now had 2 operations and is recovering extremely well. Her tumor is gone and she is getting back to her cute self. During that time, I took a little break from my blog. Now, I am back and excited to share my creations and savings with you!

-Lindsey

Featured with Pink- Before the baby wakes

Hello to all the Pink Nothings Reader<----that is a great blog name! I wish I would have snagged it for myself! You see I too am a blogging momma of a little boy. I've always had an extreme love affair with the color pink.Seriously I majorly heart it. But I have a boy so no pink for us.
I have 14 month old, Phoenix who is all boy. Seriously (I kind of say that a lot) he climbs on coffee tables, scales the cabinets in the pantry (under Daddy's "watchful" eye, yeah notice the quotation marks?), he screeches, he hits, and bites. We're currently working on those last three.

As much of a handful as he is I wouldn't trade him for all the Marc Jacob bags in the world, well that's a lot of bags.....hmmm....I'll have to think that one over. I'll get back to ya on that one.

I blog mostly about random mommy/wife/life/girl topics that come to mind. Sometimes my post make no sense because I'm probably changing a diaper or stirring a pot of noodles while I'm posting it, but I would love for you to stop by and check me out!

What is the name and purpose of your blog?
Mama Plays Mozarthttp://mamaplaysmozart.blogspot.com/I originally started blogging as a way to cope with my daughter's medical condition, but now I'm really enjoying it! I never knew that there were so many creative and talented people out there!

Who do you hope to reach out to when you blog?
I hope to connect with other blogging mommies. I love sharing stories about life and learning about new things!

When did you first discover the wonderful world of blogging?
My sister (Mama Sparkles) started blogging when she had her son. I've really enjoyed reading her blog over the past year and a bit... It just seemed natural that I would start one when my little one was born.

Do you do giveaways and reviews on your blog?
I just started doing giveaways and hope to have the opportunity to do some more!

How many children do you have?
One beautiful baby girl -she'll be one year old in October!

What is your favorite thing to do when your child/children take their naps?
Search the blogosphere of course! Or sometimes I sneak in a meal/shower :)

What is your advice to a new mom to be?
1. Try not to get caught up in whether or not you are doing everything 'right' -babies are surprisingly very resilient. 2. No matter how tired you are, try to make some time every day to get some fresh air -you and your baby will appreciate it. 3. Enjoy every moment -you've heard the saying "they grow up so fast" etc., but you will never really understand this until you have one of your own!

Go over and give her some love today!!
