Review: Infantino Cloud Shopping Cart Cover

I have become a germ freak in my older age. I used to never worry or care about germs and now I cannot get them out of my head. Then my husband told me some disturbing news.
A University of Arizona researcher found signs of fecal bacteria on 72% of carts. E. coli was also found on half of the carts sampled.

Researchers said grocery cart handles housed more fecal bacterial than what would typically be found in a bathroom. That could be because bathrooms are disinfected more regularly than the carts.

As if I don't already have enough to worry about when I go to the grocery store.

Things like....

Will I be able to run and acquire the car shopping cart? With my toddler and almost 7 month old in hand before that other mom with her two kids?
OR

Will I be able to keep Little Man in the cart until we get to the milk.....where I have promised to let him walk once we get there?

Now I have to worry that my baby will be getting someones fecal bacteria on them???!!! GROSS. I deal with his enough during the day.

I received the Cloud Shopping Cart Cover to review for you guys. First I must say it is adorable. I love all the numbers on it. Little Man and I play some I-Spy with it. Very educational for all the children in your family. The fabric is soft and it is very easy to figure out.

It has a couple of loops on it to attach your child's toys to for easy reaching and no dropping of the toys. It does have a safety belt for your child. However I wish it would have a separate buckle to attach the cover to the cart. It just easily slips over the cart and around the edges. Baby Daniel loves that he can sit up and play when he wants and with the help of a blanket take a nap when he wants too!!

It can also be used for a out to eat restaurant highchair. I didn't care for it to much for this purpose. I felt like it was too bulky and didn't really fit snug on the chair once the baby was actually sitting in it.

Overall I think it is a great product for the germs in your life and obviously the germs in your grocery carts life! It's neutral gender and easy to fold up and keep in your trunk for the next use. Just remember to wash it or the entire purpose is defeated not disinfected!

Review and Giveaway: DaBib

Buggie has started to eat solids. Sigh, he is now 5 months and will not stop growing. So I have started him on oatmeal and will start making his baby food next week. ( I heart homemade baby food)
As much as I am excited about starting him on solids I was not so thrilled about the mess we would have while he tried to eat. I started looking for bibs that might help me with the mess factor and I found....drum roll please...........

DaBib. The bib (or should I say DaBib!) covers your child so well. It has a scrunchy neckline that softly and securely wraps around the neck. This is fabulous for beginners like my baby who have food dripping down their chubby checks and neck. The scrunchy neckline prevents any food from going down to their shirt. It really only stays on the bib.

The two different styles are:

Hugs-Terry clothe fabric on the front with waterproof back

Giggles-Waterproof fabric for older children

I love this bib and it worked the best with my infant. My toddler used it and I would prefer a thicker fabric for the Giggles.

Positive Parenting Solutions: Review and Giveaway

While pregnant with my son Daniel I was stressing over the fact that LM and I were having power struggle after power struggle. I wrote about it in a few posts like HERE and HERE.
I felt like I had no control over my children, especially at bedtime. I was embarrassed that I had to lie in bed with my son for over an hour to get him to go to sleep. I just didn't know what else to do. I knew the form of discipline I didn't want to use (spanking, yelling, etc.), but that's all I knew. *Does bedtime leave you feeling stressed?

Yes, yes and yes. The list went on and I continued nodding my head like a bobble-head doll on a dash bored. It then directed me to Positive Parenting Solutions.

Hmmm.... I had read loads of books and they never really seemed to work with my determined and independent child. However, I wanted to believe that somehow my son and I both could enjoy bedtime....and still have him asleep by 8:30.

InchBug Orbit Labels: Review And Giveaway

This is the best label I have ever seen!! I am so glad that I found the InchBug Orbit Labels because I am about one of the biggest germ a phoebes I know. Nothing can creep me out more than my children being exposed when they do not have to be. I love all the cute sippy cups out there and tend to have the latest fashion cups for LM. It becomes a problem when others around him have the same. I will about die if I see another child drinking out of his cup, because they didn't know any better. I have discovered a way to be able to tell which cup is his even from the corner of my eye. I can take it away from another child or make sure LM is using the right cup with this label. The label is a non-adhesive and reusable. So I will not damage your cups only improve them. You simply stretch it over the sippy or bottle and when you have it where you want it, you let go. It's so snug your child will not be able to remove it. Once it is on you never have to worry about it again. It is safe in the microwave and dishwasher and also safe for your children because is is constructed out of non-toxic material.
I love that it can grow with your baby. First it can be used on bottles, move to sippy cups and is nice for common toiletry items. The package comes with four labels of your color choice with the name of your choice. The only problem will be picking out the color you want.

Review: Twilight Sea Turtle by Cloud B

I love Cloud B products. I had a chance to review their Gentle Giraffe On The Go a while back. You can read that review Here. This time when I worked with Cloud B I was able to test out their Twilight Sea Turtle. The Twilight Sea Turtle is a wonderful night light for children. It has the appeal of a stuffed animal with a hard shell. It is just the perfect size and Little Man loves to play with it during the day time.

However the night time is our favorite thing about the Twilight Sea Turtle. When the lights go out at bedtime the stars come on. The Twilight Sea Turtle's hard shell projects a sea of starts to cover your childes ceiling at night. You can have green stars or blue and if you are really in the mood for it you can put both blue and green stars on. This night light gives added comfort to children while they are learning how to go to sleep on their own or if they are scared of the dark. I have moved Little Man from his crib to a big boy bed. I started looking for bedding that he and I would enjoy. This was no easy task until I found Select Bedding.com
Most sites have adorable bedding for children however they do not have affordable bedding for parents. I wanted to find a bedding set for my son that he can enjoy and feel excited about but I did not want to break the bank. Select Bedding has so many different bedding sets to choose from and such wonderful prices.

I would have to say one of the hardest things about the process of getting LM”s bedding was having to narrow it down to only one bedding set. Just because the prices are affordable it did not mean the company was cutting corners and giving you fewer choices. I decided to go with the Fire Truck bedding set because what little boy doesn’t love trucks? I love the bright red of the trucks and the soft blue background. I love the attention paid to the bedding. The thicker stitches around the fire trucks make it stand out and grab your eye the moment you walk into the room. I love the care put into the quilt like stitches to make it feel more inviting and cozy.

Wash and Care
The fabric is soft to the touch and only gets better when you throw it in the wash. I was worried that the red might bleed onto the white during the wash and wash pleasantly proven wrong after the first wash. The fabric didn’t shrink or change in any way when I followed the care instructions found on the tag.

This is what dreams are made of….
Well at least these are where they are made every night for Little Man. I love the bedding and find it to be very high quality and suitable for your children to sleep on. The bedding is so appealing to the eye and the tired little ones. It really gets them excited to lay down at night. Review: Joovy Ergo Caboose Double Stroller

UPDATE: After having this stroller for almost 2 years you should know I hate it. The back wheels never stay inflated no matter how many times you have pumped them. I have wasted money on new wheels just to have the same problem. The pump they give you doesn't work with the wheels and you have to call them and tell them before they bother to tell you they know that already and send you a different pump. Once you have the new pump you still have to spend money because the pump is one that has air cartridges you have to buy in order to use. This has been one big money pit and I would hate for you to waste your time and money on this product.

When the thought of a second child began running through my head, I was concerned about what kind of stroller would best fit my growing family's needs. As I started to do my research I noticed so many different styles. I wanted something that would be easy to push, secure both of my children, look stylish, and be comfortable for my children. Now that I am due with my second child at the end of September I have finally found the stroller. I believe it meets all the requirements for a toddler and an infant and it will grow with the infant. The stroller is made by Joovy and is called the Ergo Caboose.

Great For Growing Families
The Ergo is in tandem form yet it is a sit and stand. It will be perfect when my new little bundle arrives, because it has an easy to use infant car seat attachment. The infant attachment is above the back seat closest to the parent pushing the stroller.

The Cozy Seats

The front seat is made of breathable mesh and has a 5 point safety belt to protect your child. LM is very fond of the detachable snack tray and the two detachable cup holders.
They are both very easy to switch out within seconds to adjust to your needs.

What stroller would be complete if the seat didn't recline? The Ergo will recline into a more laid back position if your child falls asleep. The canopy in the front covers the entire body of my son including his legs. His last stroller could barely cover his face.


The back seat

While being used as a seat, it has a three point harness for your child and a slight raised back for the child's lower back. They can easily rest their feet on the standing portion of the stroller and they have the ability to hold on to the handles for added comfort while riding. This stroller has a canopy for the back of the sit and stand that I have never seen on any other stroller. Most sit and stands do not even offer a canopy for the back. Not only does the Ergo have the canopy but it will also cover your child like the front seat. It also has nice see through mesh on the sides so they can still look around and be entertained while riding.


Style and Storage never looked so good.
The Ergo completely screams fashion. With the sleek metal frames and high quality fabrics. You will find a huge basket for your storage needs under the sit and stand portion of the stroller. The basket also has side pockets on the outside so you can put a few items you made need to gather quickly like a paci, wipes and a diaper.

Review: Tummy Tub

When leaning over the tub to wash your sweet baby have you ever wondered to yourself, how did the simple pleasure of bathing your child cause you to have such backache? We at Pink Nothings have wondered that ourselves and have found the perfect solution to backbreaking bath times. We found the Tummy Tub.

The Tummy Tub is a unique bath for infants that allows them to lay in the bath vertically. Most infant tubs require your baby to lay in the tub on their backs and create such a wide open and often uncomfortable environment for new babies. The Tummy Tub helps infants feel more like they are still in the womb by being so snug like they were used to for 9 months.

Cons: Water gets too concentrated from the soap. I occasionally dump the water out and will refill with new clean water.

The Tummy Tub could be more could be more appealing to the eye. Have polka dots, stars, stripes, or barnyard theme, etc.

Fall is slowly creeping into our lives here in the south. I was never much of a fan of the cool weather when I was a child. As I have gotten older I just love the crisp weather, fall leaves and the sound of marching bands in the distance. With fall you get the chance to have awesome accessories. You should know that my son hates hats. He will never keep them on his head. I was delightfully surprised he didn't pull this rich chocolate hat off his head. With how soft it is why should he?
