LM turned 2. Every birthday my sisters throw great parties and they have a fabulous cake to go with it. I am a bit on the lazy side when it comes to making my child's cake above and beyond the normal cakes. My guilt got to me and I decided to make a cake in the shape of a two. Easy, simple yet going above and beyond my norm....right? So not easy. I learned I may not be the best at making cakes. This thing fell apart into so many pieces that I was glad I had extra icing just to hold the darn thing together. But LM kept calling it his 2 cake, which made it worth it.
Today I was reading a blog called C jane enjoy it. I died laughing because I could sooo relate to her post. The post is here. The part I loved were these exact words....the Sabbath Day Chase is making my love of wearing sexy shoes to church next to impossible.
Really I felt like I was the only one who suffered from the Sabbath Day Chase. I am not sure what her chase is, but mine consist of me getting LM from the nursery and because I am all preggo I put him down and try to have him walk beside me. Then he takes off. There goes this adorable little boy full of energy running down the halls turning with every corner he sees. If you were to squint into the distance you would see a huge belly with some legs attached to it waddling down the halls smiling at the other adults because she is fully aware that they just saw her wilder beast running wild through the halls. Lucky for me my husband gets out of class at some point and can always catch him just in time.
Okay that's all folks.
