Review and Discount: Tinytongs

I just had the opportunity to try a really neat product. Tinytongs are a unique type of utensil for children who are becoming more independent in self-feeding. They are tong-shaped and lightweight with a soft rubber grip. Tinytongs are dishwasher safe, BPA free, phthalate free and come in many different colors. They work with a child's natural instinct to pick up food with a pincer grasp or with a fist rather than having to scoop or stab food like when using forks and spoons. The video below shows Tinytongs in action.

It may take a few tries for your little one to get the hang of it if they are used to forks and spoons. As you can see from the video, this little girl (who is super cute, but not mine) can pick up all different kinds of foods with ease. I am very excited about this product, not only because it is a great feeding utensil, but also because it a great occupational therapy tool for my girls. We use occupational therapy to strengthen their fine motor skills. Tinytongs are great for feeding and playtime, too!
